Disorders and their respective brain scans on a shirt because mental illnesses are as real and valid as physical illnesses.

You can order one here

bless

I want these so much

i totally just bought one of these and i can’t wait for it to come in

I need one!

I N E E D IT

I’m wearing this to my next family gathering since my family literally shamed my grandmother into suicide because of her bipolar and depression disorders, so I’m gonna guilt shame them with this.

I want I NEED

I love this idea. These disorders are stigmatised so much and labeled as a “cop out”. Few people realize the real physical symptoms associated. if I had a dime for everytime my mom said ‘its in your mind, you can overcome it’ I would be just as confused, but a lot more wealthy. Yes..the mental disorder is…all in my head… imagine that.

Little question, but what exactly do the colors mean? Like, with depression being all blue and stuff?

The closer to red the colors are, the more neurons are firing it that part of the brain. Blue is the opposite.

The schizophrenia one is most active in the back of the brain(where we interpret vision) which could be due to the hallucinations(I’m guessing, I’m not an expert)

The depression one is blue because the brain activity is slowing down(which is very bad)

I really, really want this. This is so cool. I feel like it’d be a good reminder for me. Yes there’s something wrong with me, but it’s a physical thing. It is not something that is my fault, it is the way I was born.

Just ordered one (as a hoodie) and I can’t wait for it to get here!

I’m sorry but this is disinformation, brain scans do not lead to a diagnosis for disorder nor can they even determine which specific disorder a patient has. The fact of the matter is that various parts of the brain are active at different times, if you waited less than 5 minutes and took another scan of the same patient the scan would read entirely different. Don’t spread lies just to sell a shirt and stop pushing the idea that human beings are not masters of their own domain.
